Being ‘out of the House’, I’ve decided to get on my bike for an August “Cycling Constituency Tour”. My challenge is to peddle across the 200 square miles of the constituency stopping off at shops, restaurants, pubs and other businesses, as I go.

Our first Zoom Question Time

On a Friday evening, suitably isolated, about 25 local members quizzed our MP for more than 2 hours, on topics ranging from national and local issues, COVID-19 to local planning, stranded ships crew to council tax. We even held a remote raffle.

Local MPs, Huw Merriman and Sally-Ann Hart, welcomed yesterday’s announcement that the government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, which has been protecting local jobs during the coronavirus pandemic, will be extended until the end of October.
